Following a comprehensive search, the City of Commerce is pleased to announce the hiring of Dana David as the new Downtown Development & Main Street Director.
A native of Jackson County, Dana joins Commerce after serving the past four years as the Downtown Main Street Director for the City of Adel. With over 12 years of combined experience in municipal government, marketing, and advertising, Dana brings proven expertise in downtown beautification and revitalization, economic development, business and community engagement, grant writing, event planning, and volunteer management.
Dana also holds key professional certifications including the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, Main Street 101, DDA 101, Strategic Planning, Georgia Downtown Ambassador, and is currently pursuing designation as a Certified Downtown Professional through the Georgia Downtown Association.
Dana will be joining the City mid-July, and the City will host several meet‑and‑greet opportunities so the community can welcome her. We are excited to have Dana join our #OneCommerce team and look forward to the positive impact she will bring to our downtown.
