Roshuanda Merrit is a proud native of Jefferson who made her home in Commerce in 2007. With a deep commitment to her community, she has served as the Ward 5 Councilwoman since 2024. Roshunda brings over 22 years of experience in public health and teaching to her role, driven by a passion for making a positive impact in her community.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Roshauanda values family and enjoys spending quality time with her children, Katelyn, Essense, and Christopher. Her dedication to both her work and family reflects her strong ties to the values of service and leadership.
