Councilman Darren Owensby is a lifetime resident of Commerce, the youngest son of Jimmy and Dorothy Owensby, and a 1987 graduate of Commerce High School. He and his wife Connie Evans Owensby enjoy living in Commerce with their sons Knox and Bryce, who are both graduates of CHS. Darren is a member of Maysville Baptist Church and a former employee of Alltel/ Windstream after 15 years of service. He is currently employed with Southeast Toyota located here in Commerce. His hobbies include camping, golf, and fishing. He previously served as ward 2 councilman from 2010 to 2013 and is proud to represent the residents of Commerce
