Any resident who lives in the city limits may apply for the Planning Commission. The City of Commerce is accepting applications for three positions up for reappointment for the City of Commerce Planning Commission beginning on January 31, 2025 thru February 28, 2025. The term on the Planning Commission will be a four-year term, commission members meet monthly to discuss items for decision. The normal meeting date of the Planning Commission is the last Monday of the month at 6:00pm. The final appointment will be voted on the Mayor and City Council. The city will advertise for applications for 30 days and the decision will be made by city council on March 17, 2025; at the city council meeting at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held at the Commerce Administrative Complex, 110 State Street, Commerce, Georgia.
