Garbage & Recycling Collection

Commerce City residents receive garbage and recycling collection services.
You will be provided with:

• Green roll-a-way bin – for household garbage
• Blue roll-a-way bin – for recyclables

Garbage collection takes place every Monday, unless otherwise notified.
Please place your bins at the curb no later than 6:00 AM on Monday.
If your garbage has not been collected by Monday evening, please contact City Hall at 706‑335‑3164 to report the issue.

Garbage Rates

• Residential Garbage rates will be $21.57 per month per roll-a-way.
• Small Commercial roll-away customers will be $25.18 per customer.
• Residential customers outside the city limits will be $25.90 month.
• Large Commercial customers are required to select their own garbage service provider.

These rates became effective July 1, 2026. Rates will be adjusted to reflect the change in the CPI, Consumer Price Index, on an annual basis, every July.
