Civic Center

The Civic Center will begin extensive renovations in 2023 and will be closed to the public for events. Once renovations are completed, the brand new ballrooms will be available for rental. We are very excited to see this part of downtowns history preserved and repurposed for many to enjoy for years to come. Check out our progress on Commerce Main Street facebook page and Instagram!

The Commerce Civic Center is conveniently located in downtown and is 3 miles from hotels and I-85 approximately 60 miles north of Atlanta in the foothills of the Northeast Georgia Mountains. The facility offers 5 rooms perfect for weddings, receptions, birthday parties, meetings, or whatever the occasion.

Once a manufacturing plant, the industrial, rustic look is a most popular choice for events in downtown. The Civic Center has served the community for over 30 years.

The Civic Center also provides rentals for the Cultural Arts Center which is used for theatrical productions, movies, concerts, and pageants. This building is one of the oldest former churches in downtown and was renovated to continue to be enjoyed by many over the years.
